Booze Cap, a proudly South African brand revolutionizing road safety, will be exhibiting at Transport Evolution Africa 2025 at Gallagher Convention Centre from 17–19 June 2025. The company is set to introduce its cutting-edge ignition interlock system—a proactive solution designed to prevent alcohol-related driving incidents before they happen.

With alcohol-related crashes continuing to cost lives and cripple fleets, Booze Cap offers transport operators and insurers a smart, scalable safeguard. The system combines breath analysis, facial recognition, real-time alerts, and an emergency override function—ensuring only sober, authorized drivers are behind the wheel.

“Our technology is more than a device—it’s a statement of accountability and care. We believe every fleet manager should treat Booze Cap as essential as insurance,” says Sally Mazhandu, CEO of Booze Cap.

Unlike conventional monitoring systems, Booze Cap requires drivers to pass an alcohol breath test before ignition, while random re-tests during the journey deter mid-route drinking. This, paired with live reporting and tamper detection, positions Booze Cap as a crucial tool for reducing road accidents, insurance liabilities, and operational downtime.

The company will also be launching its pilot partnership program, offering selected fleet operators a free one-month trial only pay for installation—an ideal opportunity for early adopters to test the system firsthand.

“We’re not just here to exhibit. We’re here to partner—with logistics providers, insurers, government, and civil society—to save lives and protect assets,” adds Mazhandu.

Visit Booze Cap at Stand [ Number B13 ] at Transport Evolution Africa 2025 to view a live demonstration of the system and learn how to get involved in the pilot program.
